Index Compliance Statements

The European Journal of Innovative Medical Research (EURJIMR) is an electronic, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published quarterly in English by Annika Publishing House. The journal provides immediate open access to all content without embargo and does not charge article processing charges (APCs).

EURJIMR applies a double-blind peer-review process to all submitted manuscripts. Authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the evaluation process. Each manuscript is assessed by a minimum of two independent external reviewers selected based on subject-matter expertise, publication record, and absence of conflicts of interest. Reviewer reports are archived within the journal’s editorial management system.

Following completion of peer review, editorial decisions are issued by the handling editor assigned to the manuscript. In cases where reviewer reports are delayed beyond the defined review period or where extensions would risk undue delay to authors, the handling editor may issue a decision based on the available evaluations, scientific merit, and ethical compliance of the submission. All editorial decisions are documented and remain subject to oversight by the Editor-in-Chief.

The journal maintains defined peer-review timelines to ensure predictability and fairness. Reviewer invitations are initiated shortly after editor assignment, with the standard review period set at approximately fourteen to twenty-one days. Assessment of revised manuscripts is typically completed within one to two weeks, depending on the scope of revisions and reviewer availability.

EURJIMR adheres to internationally accepted standards of publication ethics. Editorial and peer-review practices follow the principles and core practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and the journal applies the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). Ethics committee approval is mandatory for original research involving human participants. Informed consent is required for prospective original studies and for all case reports involving identifiable patient information. Conflicts of interest must be declared by all authors at the time of submission and are required as part of the title page documentation.

All submissions undergo plagiarism screening prior to peer review using similarity detection software. Allegations of misconduct, including plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or undisclosed conflicts of interest, are handled in accordance with COPE flowcharts. The journal maintains formal policies for corrections, retractions, and expressions of concern to safeguard the integrity of the scholarly record.

The journal publishes original research articles, reviews, case reports, brief communications, and editorials across medical and surgical disciplines. Manuscripts are prepared and referenced according to the AMA citation style. Author contributions are reported using the CRediT taxonomy, and all authors are required to provide valid ORCID identifiers.

All accepted manuscripts are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref under the prefix 10.65495/eurjimr. DOI registration ensures permanent identification, standardized metadata dissemination, stable citation, and interoperability with global scholarly infrastructure, including Crossmark and cited-by services. The journal maintains consistent bibliographic metadata, including ISO and NLM title abbreviations, across all records.

The editorial structure of EURJIMR consists of an Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors, whose names and institutional affiliations are publicly listed on the journal website. Editorial responsibilities include reviewer selection, management of peer review, evaluation of reviewer reports, and issuance of editorial decisions in accordance with documented policies. Recruitment of additional editorial board members and scientific advisors is conducted transparently and is recorded on the journal website.
